We are always excited to work with Mourvèdre from Stillwater Creek Vineyard and we have consistently blended a little Syrah into our Mourvèdre (and vice versa) over the years. The Mourvedre was gently coopered in three year old (neutral) American oak for twenty-one months to maintain as much varietal character as possible while the Syrah was aged in new Hungarian oak for twenty-one months to lend a smoky, earthy element to the final blend.
