While we did blend a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc into this Merlot, the true character of one of the finest vineyards in Washington State comes through. Solid acidity and excellent structure typify the Merlot from blocks 11 and 15. We have been working with this fruit since 2002 and the quality continues to improve. Aged fifteen months in a blend of Hungarian (50%), American (40%) and French (10%) oak, this Merlot offers bright, fresh fruit on the nose and a clean, crisp acidity on the finish with a solid, well balanced mid-pallet.
