Our 2004 Viognier is a beautifully balanced example of what this grape has to offer! This wine opens with white peach, ginger, lemon, tropical fruits and stone-ground mustard on the nose. A refreshing, crisp acidity frames flavors of lemongrass, honey, tree fruits and cinnamon. Finishes long and smooth with just a touch of spice and nutmeg… this is a wine you will want to enjoy all evening. Cheers!
Winemaking: Harvested in early morning, the fruit remained cool throughout the journey back to the winery. The grapes were crushed, destemmed and pressed with a minimum of skin contact time. The single strain of yeast used was chosen to enhance the natural fruit aromas of Viognier and to contribute to an enhanced mouthfeel. This wine was a joy to make as it virtually made itself! We just tried to stay out of the way and let nature work her magic. Cooperage: Not applicable (all stainless steel)
