Aged fourteen months in new Hungarian (70%) and American (30%) oak, our 2006 Carmenere showcases the finest qualities of this varietal. Spice, pepper and subtle notes of vanilla and caramel describe the nose; ripe fruit, balanced acidity and moderate tannins typify the Seven Hills vineyard from which this Carmenere was grown. We blended just a bit of Petite Verdot and Merlot to round out the pallet and soften the finish.
